These were my first two primitive dolls. I made 'Hearts and Feathers' first. She was literally made from the leftover scraps from another project. The wooden heart was found (somewhere) and I painted it gold - using some leftover paint on my palette.
'Flying Above Time' was next.
'Flying Above Time' is a talisman art doll. She's painted in red, yellow, and green. The red gives her energy,
vitality and power. The yellow is for her intellect. Just enough to ensure she isn't power-mad! As it
is, she's very well-balanced. Finally, some green, to represent her healing and her ability to travel back in time. She
has three green glass flowers on her front which she needs to fly through time. Her hands are
in gold to symbolise her powerful ability to heal and give care. Her face is a vivid red - she has a strong tendency
to attract financial success. She gives away everything she earns to her family. And she has an excellent
sense of humour. In honour of my friend Sandy.
